Plan the implementation of the new structured day
You are the Operations Project Officer reporting to the General Manager.
What has happened
The contract manager has approved Ridgeway's move to a new structured day from 1 December 2026: unlock moves from 7 am to 7:30 am, program and education blocks lengthen to two hours, evening lock-in moves later and the roster pattern changes from three eight-hour shifts to a mix of ten and twelve hour shifts on some posts. Staff have heard rumours and the union has asked for consultation. Prisoners will need clear communication about changed routines. The Corporate Services Manager has the costings. The General Manager wants an implementation plan for the leadership meeting on 6 October and a planning meeting with department leads chaired and minuted before then.

Evidence guide
Minutes must record decisions and owned actions, not just discussion. The roster model must respect the policy's fatigue limits and show where posts fall vacant. The consultation section must be genuine two-way consultation with timing before decisions are final. Risks need controls and owners, measures need baselines, and the timeline must be achievable by 1 December.
