Custodial Operations
Runs the accommodation units, yards, industries and the structured day. Custodial officers supervise prisoners, conduct counts and musters, manage unit routines, respond to incidents and maintain the dynamic security that keeps the centre calm and predictable.

Who works here
Fiona Kowalski
Fiona manages the six accommodation units and the structured day and has been at Ridgeway for eleven years, starting as a unit officer.
Kylie Marsh
Kylie leads the Unit 3 team on day shift, runs the shift briefing and handover, and mentors new officers during their first twelve weeks.
Kane Whitbread
Kane is a second-year officer rotating between Unit 3 and the industries workshop and is completing his Certificate III in Correctional Practice.
Where the work is recorded
Incident and Use of Force Register
Records every incident, use of force, injury and near miss with its category, response, reports attached and review status.
Roster and Post Allocation
Allocates officers to posts on each shift, records accreditation currency and flags vacant posts, overtime and fatigue limits.
Offender Case Management
Holds the record for each person in custody or under community supervision: classification, placement, case plan status, program referrals and review dates.
